Description

Take your Balboa to the next level with Moe and Vincenzo — two world-renowned swing dancers celebrated for their artistry, musicality, and infectious energy.

Over four intensive 75-minute sessions, you’ll explore new rhythms, creativity, and connection to deepen your dancing and make every moment on the dance floor more musical and joyful.

This workshop is for intermediate–advanced dancers (level 3+). You’ve been dancing for a while, feel confident with the things taught at intermediate level (level 3), and can comfortably adapt your dancing to different tempos and partners. You’re probably a regular at socials and festivals — and you’re ready to refine your style, expression, and connection.

We rotate partners during the classes. The classes will be held in English.

Instructors

Vincenzo Fesi — A versatile artist and one of the brightest international stars of jazz and swing. Dancer, choreographer, and teacher, Vincenzo has inspired audiences worldwide with his elegant style and connection to swing music.

Moe Sakan — A Hall of Fame dancer celebrated for her elegance, authenticity, and lifelong dedication to Lindy Hop. Moe’s passion and artistry have made her one of the most admired figures in the global swing community.

• 11:00–12:15 – Class 1 (75 min)
• 12:30–13:45 – Class 2 (75 min)
• 19:00–23:30 – Saturday Swing Party (included in pass)
  • 19:00–20:00 – Lindy taster class with local teachers Minna Marttila & Teemu Hirsimäki
  • 20:30 – Live music starts
  • Moe & Vincenzo´s performance

Sunday, 1.3.2026

• 14:45–16:00 – Class 3 (75 min)
• 16:15–17:30 – Class 4 (75 min)

Location

Dance Club Comets, studio 2, Mall of Tripla, P4 floor Down Under, Fredikanterassi 1, Helsinki. Please read the arrival instructions.

Price

149 € / person

The workshop pass includes 4 x 75 min Balboa classes and Saturday party (with taster class).

You also need to pay Comets membership fee 25 € for year 2026. It will be sent to you as a separate invoice in the beginning of the year.

Extra

If you like to participate both Lindy and Balboa workshops during Sat and Sun, please sign up to them separately and send e-mail to the address below to get 25 € discount (value of Sat party ticket).

Registration

You can register for the course with or without a partner. 

We let people without a partner from the queue in the registration order so that there are about equal number of followers and leaders. If the number of followers and leaders is imbalanced, you might not get out of the queue. The registration cancellation from the queue is free.

We let those who have registered with a partner to the course after both of them have registered themselves to the queue.

You will receive confirmation of the spot in the course within two days or as soon as the partner balance is equal.

Once you have received confirmation of the spot from the organizer the spot cannot be cancelled. The course fee is non-refundable. However, you can transfer your course place to another person before beginning of the course, taking into account the partner balance and the level of the course. To find a suitable person, you can search for them on social media and through the course's Facebook event. To transfer your course place, please contact the e-mail address below.
