🇬🇧 COURSE DESCRIPTION
The new Lindy Hop Mix & Match Competition and Show Group offers dancers a unique chance to enhance their competition skills and performance. Tailored for those who aim to excel in Mix & Match contests, this group features peer-led training sessions where each participant takes turns leading practice, fostering shared learning. Training focuses on competition readiness, emphasizing social dancing, musicality, and showmanship to prepare for prelims and jam sessions. With a target size of 5-7 leaders and 5-7 followers, the group ensures balanced pairs. Members are expected to commit to all training sessions, creating a supportive community that grows and progresses as a team.
The language of the course is either Finnish or English depending on the participants.
Instructors: The dancers of the group
Time: This group has 6 training sessions (6 x 90 min) on Fridays 10.1, 24.1, 7.2, 7.3, 21.3, 11.4 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Location: Dance Club Comets, space 2 (Mall of Tripla, Fredikanterassi 1, Helsinki)
Price: 39 € / person
You also need to pay Comets membership fee 25 € if you haven’t paid it yet for the current calendar year. It will be sent to you as a separate invoice.
Registration:Â The application period for the group is open from 16 November to 30 November 2024. Those selected for the group will be decided on 2 December 2024.
Registration is binding for the confirmed spots in the group.
