🇬🇧 COURSE DESCRIPTION

Take your Balboa to the next level with Vasu and Valentina, two internationally recognized swing dance instructors and performers based in Berlin.

Vasu is admired for his precise technique, creativity with rhythms and connections, while Valentina brings a strong background in ballet and a thoughtful, analytical approach to movement and teaching. Over five intensive 75-minute sessions, you’ll explore new rhythms, refine your technique and improve your musical interpretation in Balboa.

This workshop is for intermediate–advanced dancers (level 3+). You’ve been dancing for a while, feel confident with the things taught at intermediate level (level 3), and can comfortably adapt your dancing to different tempos and partners. You’re probably a regular at socials and festivals and you’re ready to refine your style, expression, and connection.

We rotate partners during the lessons.

Schedule 21-23.8.2026:

• Friday 19:00-20:15 - Class 1 (75min)
• Saturday 11:00–12:15 Class 2 (75 min)
• Saturday 12:30–13:45 – Class 3 (75 min)
• Saturday Swing Party 19:00–23:00 (included in pass)
• Sunday 15:00–16:15 – Class 4 (75 min)
• Sunday 16:30–17:45 – Class 5 (75 min)

Location: Tanssiseura Comets (Mall of Tripla, Fredikanterassi 1, Helsinki)

Price: 139€ / person (includes Saturday live music party)

You also need to pay Comets membership fee 25 € if you haven’t paid it yet for the current calendar year. It will be sent to you as a separate invoice.

If you like to participate both Lindy and Balboa workshops, please let us know by writing BOTH in more information (=lisätietoja) field to get 25 € discount (value of Sat party ticket).

Registration: You can register for the course with or without a partner. 

We let people without a partner from the queue in the registration order so that there are about equal number of followers and leaders. If the number of followers and leaders is imbalanced, you might not get out of the queue. The registration cancellation from the queue is free.

We let those who have registered with a partner to the course after both of them have registered themselves to the queue.

You will receive confirmation of the spot in the course within two days or as soon as the partner balance is equal. 

Confirmed spot on the course is binding. The spot on the course is personal and it cannot be shared with another person.
