I Charleston Helsinki, osa 4 (EXTRARYHMÄ)
Edellinen workshop täyttyi hujauksessa, mutta ei hätää! Tässä mahdollisuutesi osallistua suosittuun I Charleston Helsinki -projektiin. Tämä workshop vastaa alkuperäistä kaikilta osin, mutta on viikkoa myöhemmin, eli 26.-27.3.2022. Kuvauspäivä on molemmille ryhmille yhteinen eli 21.5.2022. Ilmoittauduthan vain jompaankumpaan workshopiin.
I Charleston Helsinki -videoprojekti käynnistyi elokuussa 2019, kun innokas joukko tanssijoita ryhtyi treenaamaan suuren tanssispektaakkelin ensimmäistä osaa. Ensimmäiset kaksi osaa saatiin purkkiin ennen kuin pandemia iski ja kolmas osa toteutettiinkin sitten koronaturvallisesti yksin tanssien. Tämän jälkeen pandemia pakotti I Charleston Helsinki -projektin taolle, mutta nyt on aika vallata jälleen Helsingin kadut iloisella tanssilla!
I Charleston Helsinki -workshopissa opetellaan Laura Halttusen tekemä ja ohjaama, näyttävä jazz roots -koreografia, joka tullaan kuvaamaan (edit: touko-kesäkuussa) eri puolilla Helsinkiä. Kuvauspäivään osallistuminen edellyttää, että käyt aktiivisesti I Charleston -vapareissa workshopin jälkeen. Workshopissa opimme koreografian, mutta pidäthän mielessä, että näin lyhyessä ajassa emme saa sitä vielä esityskuntoon. Vaparit eivät ole ohjattuja, mutta treenikavereilta saat aina tukea ja energiaa harjoitteluun!
Lähde mukaan hauskaan, vauhdikkaaseen, sopivan haastavaan ja varmasti ikimuistoiseen videoprojektiin! Ei haittaa, vaikka et olisi osallistunut aiempiin osiin ja kuvauspäivään, jokaisessa videon osassa opetellaan uusi koreografia, joten kaikki osallistujat lähtevät haasteeseen samalta viivalta.
Nyt opetellaan ja kuvataan I Charleston Helsinki -koreografian viimeinen osa, joten tätä mahdollisuutta et halua jättää väliin! Tavoitteena on lopuksi liittää kaikki videoon osat yhteen, jolloin lopputuloksena on huikea tanssivideo, jossa Helsingin swingtanssijat valtaavat kaupungin kadut, puistot ja ikonisimmat kohteet vuodenaikojen (ja vuosien…) vaihtuessa taustalla.
Koreografia soveltuu kaikille jazz roots- ja swinglajien harrastajille, tasosta riippumatta. Koreografiasta on omat versionsa niin aloitteleville soolojazztanssijoille kuin kokeneemmille, joten rohkeasti mukaan treenaamaan!

Kurssin valmennuskieli on suomi tai englanti riippuen kurssin osallistujista.
Workshop pidetään Comets Clubilla, Pukinmäenaukio 2:
la 26.3. klo 11-14 ja su 27.3. klo 11-13
Kurssimaksu on 35 euroa (ei alennushintaa). Kurssipaikka on henkilökohtainen, eikä sitä voi luovuttaa toiselle henkilölle. Ilmoittautuminen on sitova la 19.3.2022 klo 23:59 jälkeen.
Lisäksi Cometsin jäsenmaksu vuodelle 2022 (25 euroa) laskutetaan, jos sitä ei ole jo maksettu.
Tämä on ekstraryhmä ensimmäisen workshopin mentyä täyteen nopeasti. Workshop järjestetään vain mikäli Cometsin määrittelemä minimiosallistujamäärä täyttyy.
Koronaviruksesta johtuvat toimet:
* Tanssitunneille ei saa osallistua, mikäli sinulla on hengitystieinfektioon viittaavia oireita.
* Muista hyvä käsihygienia. Kaikilla saleilla on saatavilla käsidesiä ja -saippuaa.
* Suosittelemme kasvomaskin käyttöä yleisissä tiloissa. Tanssitunnin aikana ei ole pakollista käyttää kasvomaskia.
* Koronapassia ei toistaiseksi edellytetä kursseillamme. Varaamme oikeuden alkaa tarkistaa koronapasseja mahdollisten suositusten mukaisesti.

The first workshop was filled very fast, but don't worry! Here's your chance to participate in the popular I Charleston Helsinki project. This workshop is exactly the same as the original one, only one week later, 26-27 March 2022. The shooting day is the same for both groups, 21st May 2022. Please sign up for only one of the workshops.
The I Charleston Helsinki -video project started in August 2019, when an excited group of dancers hit the studio and got busy learning the first part of the I Charleston choreography. The first two parts of the video were rehearsed and shot before the pandemic and in part 3 we resorted to dancing alone, in true home quarantine -style. The project has been on a break since then, but now we are finally back and ready to fill the streets of Helsinki with joyful dancing!
In the I Charleston Helsinki workshop we will learn a dazzling solo jazz choreography, made and directed by Laura Halttunen, that will be shot across various locations in Helsinki (edit: in May/June). Taking part in the video requires that you also practice regularly after the I Charleston workshop! You will learn the choreography in the workshop, but we all know we need more practice than that to get video-worthy quality. We will have free practice sessions after the workshop. These practice sessions are not instructor-led, but you will get loads of support and energy from your dance friends.
Join this fun, exciting, and memorable video project that will challenge you in all the right ways! Don’t worry if you didn’t participate in the first parts of the video project. Each new part in the video project features a new choreography, so we will all learn it together from the start.
In this course we are learning and filming the last part of the I Charleston Helsinki -project. You don’t want to miss this chance! After filming, all four parts will be combined into one amazing dance video with the swing dancers of Helsinki taking over the streets, parks and most iconic landmarks, all while the seasons (and years…) around us change.
The choreography is suitable for all jazz roots and swing dancers, regardless of your level of experience. There will be different versions of the choreography for beginners and more advanced dancers, so don’t hesitate to join in on the fun!
The workshop is held at Comets Club, Pukinmäenaukio 2:
Saturday 26.3 at 11-14 and Sunday 27.3 at 11-13

Teaching will be in Finnish or in English depending on the participants.
The price is 35€. The spot on the course is personal and it cannot be given to another person. Registration is binding after 19.3.2022, 23:59.
You also need to pay Comets membership fee 25 € if you haven’t paid it yet in 2022. It will be sent to you as a separate invoice.
This is an extra group after the first workshop was booked out in one day- The workshop will only be held if the minimum number of participants signs up for it.
Measures due to coronavirus:
* Please, only attend the class if you are completely healthy.
* Remember good hand hygiene. There are hand soaps and sanitizers available at the class location.
* We recommend using face masks in public spaces. However, it is not mandatory to wear a face mask during the dance class.
* The corona passport is not required at this moment, but we reserve the right to continue checking covid certificates later according to the possible upcoming recommendations.
