KURSSIN PERUSTIEDOT

Kurssille osallistumisen esivaatimuksena on, että olet käynyt vähintään Lindy Hop alkeet (12x90min). On suositeltavaa, että jokainen kurssitaso käydään kahteen kertaan. Oletuksena on, että osaat tanssia jo ainakin triple step -askelin. Osaat viedä tai seurata lindy hopin peruskuvioita ja löydät musiikista oikean rytmin. Tunnet swingoutin, ja haluat syventää osaamistasi alkeista eteenpäin. Kurssin alussa kerrataan jo aiemmin opittua, mutta kurssilla edetään alkeita huomattavasti vauhdikkaammin.

Lindy Hop perustuu paljon improvisaatioon, sekä musiikin tulkintaan, joten kurssilla syvennytään näihin teemoihin. Saat myös eväitä ja vinkkejä viemiseen ja seuraamiseen, sekä tanssitekniikkaan. Hyvä perusta tarjoaa mahdollisuuden tanssin varioimiseen ja eri tempoiseen musiikkiin tanssimiseen - ja näitä taitoja kurssilla harjoitellaan runsaasti. Kurssilla opitaan tietenkin myös uusia kuvioita. Kurssin tarkempi sisältö määräytyy kurssilaisten tason mukaisesti.

Kurssille kannattaa laittaa päälle liikkumiseen sopivat vaatteet ja jalkaan ainakin hieman luistavat kengät. Mukaan kannattaa ottaa myös vesipullo.

Kurssille voi osallistua niin parin kanssa kuin ilmankin omaa paria. Kurssilla on parinvaihto, eli paria vaihdetaan tunnin aikana opettajien ohjeen mukaan.

Kurssin valmennuskieli on suomi ja/tai englanti.

Valmentajat: Emma Åman (12 krt), Sauli Anetjärvi (6 krt) ja Sathish Narayanan (6 krt)

Aika: Kurssilla on 12 valmennuskertaa torstaisin klo 19.15-20.45 (90 min) aikavälillä 4.9.-27.11.2025. Lisäksi mahdollisuus vapaaharjoitteluun ennen ja jälkeen tuntien (15+15 min). Huom! Ei opetusta syyslomaviikolla 16.10.2025.

Paikka: Pasilan peruskoulu, Savonkatu 2, Helsinki.

Hinta: 129 € / henkilö. Alennus opiskelijoille, eläkeläisille ja työttömille on -20 €. Lähetä kuva alennustodistuksestasi osoitteeseen alennus@comets.fi ennen kurssin alkua.

Kursseille osallistuaksesi sinun pitää myös maksaa Cometsin jäsenmaksu, jos et jo ole sitä maksanut kuluvana vuonna. Jäsenmaksu on 25 €. Jäsenmaksu laskutetaan erikseen.

Ilmoittautuminen: Kurssille voi osallistua niin parin kanssa, kuin ilmankin paria. 

Päästämme kurssille yksin ilmoittautuneita jonosta ilmoittautumisjärjestyksessä siten, että viejiä ja seuraajia on suunnilleen tasamäärä. Mikäli epätasapaino viejien ja seuraajien suhteessa on suuri, saatat jäädä jonoon. Ilmoittautumisen peruminen jonopaikasta on maksutonta.

Saat vahvistuksen kurssipaikasta noin parin päivän kuluessa tai paritasapainon varmistuessa. 

Kurssipaikka on henkilökohtainen, eikä sitä voi luovuttaa toiselle henkilölle. Kurssin järjestäjän toimesta vahvistettu kurssipaikka on sitova, eikä sitä voi enää peruuttaa

🇬🇧 COURSE DESCRIPTION

As a prerequisite for taking part in the course, you should already know the basics of Lindy Hop and have taken at least a Lindy Hop beginner course (12x90 min). It is recommended to take each course level twice. You should already be able to dance with at least triple steps. You should also know how to follow or lead basic Lindy Hop moves. You know the swing out and want to learn more. In the beginning of this course, we will repeat some basics of Lindy Hop, but the course will progress faster than a beginner course.

During this course you will learn more about leading and following, dance technique, and of course, new moves and musicality. Good basic skills provide a solid foundation to build on, enabling you to dance to music at faster or slower tempos. The detailed content of this course will be adjusted according to the participants’ level.

If possible, choose shoes with non-sticky soles. Please also bring your own water bottle and wear clothes suitable for light exercise.

We rotate partners during the lessons.

The course will be held in Finnish and/or in English.

Instructors: Emma Åman (12 times), Sauli Anetjärvi (6 times) and Sathish Narayanan (6 times)

Time: The course has 12 lessons on Thursdays between 4th of September and 27th of November 2025 from 7.15 PM to 8.45 PM (90 min). Additionally, there will be an opportunity for free practice before and after the lessons (15 + 15 minutes). Please note! No lesson on 16th of October.

Location: Pasilan peruskoulu, Savonkatu 2, Helsinki

Price: 129 € / person. Discount for students, pensioners and unemployed -20 €. Send your proof of discount status to alennus@comets.fi before the course starts.

You also need to pay Comets membership fee 25 € if you haven’t paid it yet for the current calendar year. It will be sent to you as a separate invoice.

Registration: You can register for the course with or without a partner. 

We let people without a partner from the queue in the registration order so that there are about equal number of followers and leaders. If the number of followers and leaders is imbalanced, you might not get out of the queue. The registration cancellation from the queue is free.

We let those who have registered with a partner to the course after both of them have registered themselves to the queue.

You will receive confirmation of the spot in the course within two days or as soon as the partner balance is equal. 

A course spot confirmed by the course organizer is binding and cannot be canceled. The spot on the course is personal and it cannot be given to another person.
