KURSSIN PERUSTIEDOT

West coast swingin jatkokurssille voit osallistua kun olet käynyt (vähintään yhden) koko kauden mittaisen alkeiskurssin. Jatkokurssi on sinua varten, jos tanssit jo vaivatta peruskuviot. Kurssilla kaivaudutaan syvemmälle tekniikkaan, musiikintulkintaan ja parityöskentelyyn sekä opetellaan uusia kuvioita. Kurssin sisältö uudistuu joka kaudella, joten jatkotasolla on suositeltavaa jatkaa useamman kauden ajan.

Kurssilla on käytössä parinvaihtorinki.

Kurssin valmennuskieli on suomi, jota täydennetään englanniksi tarvittaessa.

Valmentajat: Arto Hälli & Asta Ojala, Annika Ahola & Jussi Kiiskilä.

Aika Kurssilla on 12 valmennuskertaa tiistaisin klo 17.30- 19.00 aikavälillä 7.1.2025-8.4.2025 .Valmennusta ei ole talvilomaviikolla 18.2.2025 eikä 25.2.2025. Ti 25.2.2025 saliin voi kuitenkin tulla harjoittelemaan ohjattuun vapaaharjoitteluun.
Myös ennen jokaista kurssikertaa on vartin vapaaharjoitteluvuorot (klo 17.15-17.30), jonne kaikki kurssilaiset ovat tervetulleita treenaamaan.

Hinta: 129 € / henkilö

Kursseille osallistumisen edellytyksenä on, että Cometsin jäsenmaksu 25 € vuodelle 2025 on maksettu. Jäsenmaksu laskutetaan erikseen.

Ilmoittautuminen: Kurssille voi osallistua niin parin kanssa, kuin ilmankin paria.

Päästämme kurssille yksin ilmoittautuneita jonosta ilmoittautumisjärjestyksessä siten, että viejiä ja seuraajia on suunnilleen tasamäärä. Mikäli epätasapaino viejien ja seuraajien suhteessa on suuri, saatat jäädä jonoon. Ilmoittautumisen peruminen jonopaikasta on maksutonta.

Parin kanssa ilmoittautuneet pääsevät kurssille jonosta sen jälkeen, kun jälkimmäinen parista on ilmoittautunut.

Vahvistettu kurssipaikka on sitova. Kurssipaikka on henkilökohtainen, eikä sitä voi luovuttaa toiselle henkilölle.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

West Coast Swing improvers course is for dancers that have taken the beginner level course. Dancers are expected to lead or follow basic West Coast Swing patterns comfortably. On this course we go deeper into technique, musicality and connection. In addition, we learn a bunch of new patterns that change every season. We recommend taking this improvers level course at least twice before moving on to intermediate level.

We rotate partners during the lessons.

Teachers: Arto Hälli & Asta Ojala, Annika Ahola & Jussi Kiiskilä.
The teaching language of the course is Finnish and supplemented in English if needed.

Time This course has 12 lessons on Tuesdays 7.1.2025-8.4.2025 at 17.30 - 19.00. There is no lesson on 18th of February due to Winter break and on 25th of February. However, on 25th of February, you can come to practise on guided free practise.
Before teaching there will be 15 minutes for free practise (17.15 - 17.30), where everyone is welcome to join.

Place: Åshöjden school (Sturenkatu 6, Helsinki).

Price: 129 €/participant
Discount for students, pensioners and unemployed 20 €. Send your proof of discount status to alennus@comets.fi before the course starts.

You also need to pay Comets membership fee 25 € if you haven’t paid it yet for the year 2025. It will be sent to you as a separate invoice.

Registration: You can register for the course with or without a partner.

We let people without a partner from the queue in the registration order so that there are about equal number of followers and leaders. If the number of followers and leaders is imbalanced, you might not get out of the queue. The registration cancellation from the queue is free.

We let those who have registered with a partner to the course after both of them have registered themselves to the queue.

You will receive confirmation of the spot in the course within two days or as soon as the partner balance is equal. 

Confirmed spot on the course is binding. The spot on the course is personal and it cannot be given to another person.
