KURSSIN PERUSTIEDOT

Cometsin kilparyhmät on tarkoitettu kilpaileville ja tavoitteellisesti harjoitteleville tanssijoille. Kilparyhmät ovat yleensä 5-7 tanssiparin pienryhmiä, joissa tanssijat saavat paljon henkilökohtaista palautetta sekä mahdollisuuden kehittyä motivoituneessa seurassa.

Tämän ryhmän harjoitukset pidetään perjantaisin klo 18.30-20.30 (6 kertaa) Comets Clubilla. Tällä kilparyhmällä ei ole valmentajaa, vaan valmennusten vetämisestä vastaavat kilparyhmän tanssijat. Tähän ryhmään otetaan pisimmälle kilpaurallaan edenneet hakijat (All Star&Advanced&Intermediate).

Kurssipäivät: 8.9., 29.9., 13.10., 27.10., 10.11. ja 8.12.2023.

Hinta: 35 euroa (+ Cometsin vuoden 2023 jäsenmaksu 25 euroa)

Ilmoittautuminen:
Kilparyhmiin haetaan täyttämällä hakulomake viimeistään perjantaina 30.6.2023. Ryhmään valitut ilmoitetaan viimeistään 3.7.2023 sähköpostitse. Ilmoittautuminen on sitova ryhmään valituille. Tämän kilparyhmän tavoitekoko on 12-14 tanssijaa.

Comets pyrkii tarjoamaan kilparyhmäpaikan mahdollisimman monelle kilpailevalle jäsenelleen, ja siksi westissä tarjolla on kaksi kilparyhmää. WSDC-pistesaldon (Newcomer-pisteitä ei huomioida) mukaisessa järjestyksessä kilpaurallaan pisimmälle edenneille viejille ja seuraajille tarjotaan ensisijaisesti paikkaa All Star/Advanced/Intermediate-ryhmässä ja kuudelle järjestyksessä seuraavalle viejälle ja seuraajalle paikkaa Intermediate/Novice-ryhmässä. Pistesaldoa käytetään kriteerinä siksi, että se osoittaa objektiivisimmalla mahdollisella tavalla jo osoitetun sitoutumisen harjoitteluun ja kilpailemiseen. Jos valintaa ei voida tehdä pisteiden perusteella (esim. useampi hakija on tasapisteissä), valinnan suorittaa tämän ryhmän osalta westin lajivastaavan esityksestä Cometsin hallitus. COURSE DESCRIPTION

Comets' competition groups are designed for goal-oriented dancers who are interested in both competing and dedicated training. The groups are small, 5-7 couples each, in which dancers get a lot of personal feedback and a chance to improve their dancing and competing within a motivated peer group.

This AS/ADV/INT group is aimed at the most experienced competitors. There is no designated coach in the group, but each participant is responsible for one class during the season (either alone or with another group member).  

Dates: 8.9., 29.9., 13.10., 27.10., 10.11. and 8.12.2023.

Price: 35 euros (+ Comets membership fee for year 2023: 25 euros)

Fill in the application form by 30.6.2023. Selections for competition group are announced latest on 3.7.2023 by email. By filling in the application form, you commit to take the course if you are selected. The target size of the group is 12-14 dancers.

Comets wants to offer a possibility of competition training to as many of their competing members as possible, and therefore there are two competition groups available in WCS. WSDC points are used as a primary selection criterion so that the top leaders and followers are offered a position in the Friday’s AS/ADV/INT competition group. The subsequent six leaders and followers with the highest points are offered a spot in the Wednesday’s INT/NOV group. If the selection cannot be done based on WSDC points (e.g., several applicants have same number of points or no points yet), the selection is done by Comets’ board based on the suggestion made by the head of west coast swing. Selection is then made based on the applicant’s commitment to goal-oriented training and competing.
